Eleghos... 100 years after

''Eleghos''... 100 years after

In the early twentieth century, ''ELEGHOS'' (''Control'' in english) belonged to our family. Alexander Pan. Mataragas, our grandfather, published this historical newspaper which was a strong and combative voice at the beginning of the 20th century, in the years of Greek nationalschism. The end came when the facilities of the newspaper were attacked by raging royalist and the destruction was
complete...
that was the identity, the profile of the newspaper:

“ELΕGHOS” Journal of the early 20th century (released in 1901). Official Patriotic & economist Daily Newspaper, Conservative Principles.
Director & Owner Alexander Panayiotis Mataragas. Offices Aiolou 188, Athens.
Those days ''ELEGHOS'' said: ''The vitality of thought is an adventure. Ideas
won't keep. Something must be done about them...''
             ____________________________________________________ Alfred North Whitehead.

Today, after 100 years, we, the descendants decided to revive that voice, and in
addition, with help in the translation by our American journalistic team
(Kellene G. Safis), it became possible to create section of the newspaper in the
           English language.

Now days ''ELEGHOS... at history'' says: "Your net worth to the world is
usually determined by what remains after your bad habits are
           subtracted from your good ones"...
           ______________________________ Benjamin Franklin.
